The Country Fare is Coming
Mark your calendars now for the big shopping event of the fall: the Country Fare flea market at Good Shepherd Episcopal Church Hayesville, slated for September 11 and 12. Hours are eight until two on Friday the 11th and again on Saturday the 12th. On Saturday items will be discounted periodically through “blue light specials.”
If you need to buy school clothes or fashionable clothes for yourself, freshen up household items, replace a worn out appliance, or find a new piece of furniture, Country Fare is the place to shop. You can also find dishes, clothing, accessories, artwork, books, games, toys, and much more. Everything is clean and in good repair. Lunch will be available as well.
Country Fare has been staged by Good Shepherd for well over 20 years. Parishioners at the church get excited because this is an opportunity to give new life to their used but still high quality clothing, books, household and garden items, and sports equipment. They also know that all the proceeds will be donated to area charitable organizations.
For a preview of some special items that will be for sale and tasty foods that will be on the menu, look for the follow-up article in this publication. As always, children will be served free hot dogs.
Good Shepherd Church is located at 495 Herbert Hills Drive, Hayesville about a mile east of Walgreen's Drugs. The church's website is www.goodshepherdhayesville.org, and the Facebook page is www.facebook.com/goodshepherdhayesvillenc.
