Did you know that Good Shepherd Sunday is celebrated three weeks after Easter in Christian churches throughout the world? The name derives from the gospel readings on this day, which are taken from the 10th chapter of John where Christ is described as the Good Shepherd who, by dying on the Cross, lays down his life for his sheep. Come celebrate this special day by joining fellow parishioners in the Parish Hall for a Pancake Breakfast (provided by the Order of St. George) at 9:15a.m. on Sunday, April 26. Also, your vestry has developed a vision statement for Good Shepherd. It's a bold vision of how we can create a Heaven on Earth as we do God's will in the world, and reflects our church's strengths in community building, serving others, and being a welcoming place to worship.
Fr. Bill will be introducing Good Shepherd's vision for our future with a PowerPoint presentation during this celebration. You won't want to miss it!
