A mission team of three couples from Good Shepherd is headed to Honduras to serve Christ among the poorest of his people. Our team will fly from Atlanta to Tegucigalpa, Honduras on Saturday, February 9 and will return to Atlanta on Saturday, February 16. As before, we will be staying at Casa Lamb, the guesthouse which in a very safe neighborhood. We travel each day in transportation provided by LAMB and driven by LAMB staff. Most of our work will be some kind of construction at the children’s home with other opportunities available to those with other interests and abilities. At the end of each work day, we have time to play with the children. Midweek, we take a break from our work to visit the school, to visit of clients of the micro-loan program and leaders of the anti-gang initiative, and for a day trip to an artist community outside the city. The week goes by fast and before you know it, it is time to go home.
