Renowned Storyteller on Sunday July 28

Elizabeth Ellis will present a program in the Parish Hall from 9:15-10:15 a.m. The program is titled, “In the beginning was...STORY”

Ms. Ellis was born and raised in eastern Tennessee and is the granddaughter of an Appalachian circuit riding preacher who brought home the many stories he collected on his travels. Ms. Ellis now lives in Dallas, Texas. She has a Master of Education degree and has been recognized as a Master Storyteller and with awards by the National Endowment for the Arts, Texas Storytelling Association and National Storytelling Network.

Her goal is to encourage and enhance our listening for the sacred in scripture, personal stories and folk tales. Ms. Ellis believes one of the greatest gifts our Creator gave us is our imagination, to more richly experience a God we cannot directly see, feel, or touch. She will present stories that help us exercise our imagination and provide insight into that gift.

This program is brought to you by our Arts and Spirituality Ministry. All are invited. Pastries and coffee will be served. For more information please contact Chairman Kathy Marcel, 225-937-2030 kfmarcel@gmail.com or Kanute Rarey 502-525-7272 kanutetells@gmail.com.
