The Gospel according to Matthew: Five Discourses Matthew is the Gospel of the church.

The Gospel according to Matthew been the most used by the church in its worship and has been the subject of the most commentary and preaching from the beginning of the church. Its 5 discourse structure suggests that the text was intended as a messianic equivalent of Torah (instruction) for the new community of Christ. In this course we will examine each discourse, asking what they meant for the people of Matthew’s community and for ours.

April 1 - Discourse on the End Times
