Our Outreach Ministry will be reminding us all about food insecurity on Sunday, February 12, during Coffee Hour after the late service. Kathy Wright will be serving homemade Minestrone Soup. There is no charge for the soup. We just want to remind folks about hunger in America, especially Clay and Towns Counties. The Outreach Ministry that you fund with Ingles Card purchases and events like Country Fare sends generous donations to Food Pantries in these two counties on a quarterly basis. February 12 is "Souper Bowl Sunday" nationwide. It is important for us to remember there are many who do not even have some soup for dinner. So stop into Coffee Hour on February 12 to have a cup of soup. If you are so inclined you might bring some Ramen or dry soup (Knorr, etc.) which Kathy will take to the Hurlbert Johnson Homeless shelter in Murphy.
