THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL A LATER DATE WHILE SHARON LEWIS UNDERGOES SHOULDER SURGERY. WE PRAY FOR HER RECOVERY AND HEALING.
“In order to carry the gospel of Jesus Christ to the world His Church must be healed and restored, spirit, soul and body. We know that wounded people wound others but healed people through Jesus Christ heal people. That is the Good News we bring as Christ’s wounded healers to the world.”
The Rev. Dr. Sharon L. Lewis, director of Amazing Love Healing Ministry and President of the Board of the Order of St. Luke, will be bringing a three-pronged message of healing to Western North Carolina. Friday night she will speak encouragement and empowerment to anyone already involved in Christian healing ministry. On Saturday (10am-3pm) she will offer Healing 101 — teaching and demonstrating healing to anyone needing healing or wanting to understand more about the role of healing ministry in the church. On Sunday, Pastor Sharon, who is ordained in the Episcopal church, will preach at Good Shepherd for both services.
This healing event is being sponsored by the Good Shepherd Healing Ministry and is open to anyone regardless of denomination. Good Shepherd parishioners are strongly encouraged to attend, to order to build up the physical and spiritual health of our church family. (See Pastor Sharon’s opening statement.) Because a light lunch will be served on Saturday, registration is requested by calling 828-389-3397 or emailing gsepiscopal@brmemc.net. A $10 donation is requested to help cover expenses.
