When Judd McCarthy, one of Good Shepherd Episcopal Church's most beloved members, turns 100 on June 5, he will celebrate a life well lived. With his sharp mind, his Irish grin and his ready laugh, Judd approaches the century mark still enjoying life

Parishioner and seminarian, Nathan Bourne, shares some of his experiences from Yale Divinity School: As I finish up my first year at Yale Divinity School, I have been reflecting on what this experience has been, what has brought me here, and where I feel called to in the future. 

The authors of two intriguing books, The Mystery Trip and A Time to Sow and a Time to Reap, will be on hand to sign their books in the library of Good Shepherd Episcopal Church Hayesville on Saturday afternoon, May 16, from 1:00—3:00 p.m. Everyone is invited to meet the authors, Helen Naismith and Claudia Rowe Kennedy, enjoy light refreshments, and learn about the church library.

Good Shepherd Episcopal Church has won a national award from Interfaith Power & Light (IP&L), including a cash prize of $1000. The award was for the “Community Inspiration” category in IP&L’s annual “Cool Congregations” challenge.
