Good Shepherd Episcopal Church Hayesville is pleased to begin offering a 5 p.m. Saturday evening service of Holy Communion on January 2, 2016. The service will be helpful for those who regularly or occasionally find that they cannot participate in Sunday worship services. According to Rector Dr. William Breedlove, “We welcome all who are seeking a Saturday evening worshiping community to join us.”
The liturgy for the Saturday service will come from the 1979 Episcopal Book of Common Prayer and will alternate seasonally between the traditional language of Rite I and the more contemporary language of Rite II. Instrumental music in a variety of forms will be offered as prelude and during communion.
Good Shepherd's Sunday morning services will continue at 8:00 for Rite I and 10:45 for Rite II, with the choir singing at 10:45 and nursery service available for both services.
A welcoming and family friendly church with many ministries and programs, Good Shepherd is located at 495 Herbert Hills Road, one mile east of Walgreens. More information about the church is available on the website: www.goodshepherdhayesville.org.
