Country Fare Flea Market Offers Great Deals

If you are looking for practical items such as back-to-school clothes for your children, work or church clothes for yourself, household furnishings, or books, then the Country Fare Flea Market at Good Shepherd Episcopal Church Hayesville is the place to find great deals. The sale will take place from 8 a.m to 2 p.m on Friday, September 9 and Saturday, September 10 in the Parish Hall at Good Shepherd, 495 Herbert Hills Drive, just off Hwy. 64E one mile east of Walgreen's Drugs.

This year's market offers really nice furniture, including a sofa and matching chair; small appliances; and decorative items such as pottery, baskets, and framed art. There is an excellent selection of clothing in good repair, including plus sizes. As one parish worker commented, “If you shop at Country Fare, you won't be cold this winter.” Unusual choices include an antique spinning wheel, a loom, and a set of Audubon bird prints. As always, prices are low, and on Saturday, “blue light specials” will be announced periodically.

Since browsing through all the merchandise in the Parish Hall can work up an appetite, good food will be available: pork and chicken BBQ, hotdogs, and a variety of baked goods.  Not only does Country Fare offer a wonderful shopping experience, but it benefits our community. Every penny of the proceeds is donated to area charitable organizations.
