About 75 people of different ethnicities, hailing from several counties and many churches, gathered at Good Shepherd Episcopal Church Hayesville on February 7 for a forum on racism. From college-age to those old enough to remember the segregated 50s, they passionately discussed the state of racism today.

On Thursday morning, January 29, an enthusiastic cadre of members of Good Shepherd Episcopal Church Hayesville gathered at the Ledford Chapel Road boat ramp on Lake Chatuge to fulfill their promise of periodically freeing the area of debris. The low tide at the lake did not dampen the spirits of these volunteers.
